Make it Easy as 1-2-3

1. Complete an Information Form with details on your requirements.

2. We review your information, request any additional details from you, then determine the appropriate satellite terminal and antenna size for your data rate requirements. Then, the balance of your equipment order will be due, along with a service deposit equal to two months service. We will provide you an estimated cost of freight, insurance and installation at that time.

3. The equipment is shipped, cleared at customs if applicable, installed and licensed, then you're online! Installation charges will be billed after installation. Monthly service billing begins upon activation of service at installation time. Pricing may be subject to additional surcharge imposed by in-country service provider licensee.

Equipment

Typical antenna size for the USA, Canada and some areas of Latin America is 1.2 M. Most of Latin America requires a 1.8 M antenna. Sites on the edge of the footprint, and those requiring faster uplink data rates may require a larger antenna--up to 2.4 M.

Installation in the contiguous 48 United States is typically $675 (for a 1.2 meter antenna), plus installation hardware. The longer it takes, or the more difficult it is, to get the equipment and the installers to the site, the more the cost.

Note pricing is typical and subject to product change and market fluctuations.

SIT Antenna Size Power Capital Investment (USD)
1.2m 2W 3100-ku2 1.2m 2 Watts $1,665
1.8m 2W 3100-ku2 1.8m 2 Watts $2,315
1.2m 4W 3100-ku4 1.2m 2 Watts $2,773

1.8m 2W 5100-ku2 1.8m 2 Watts $3,390
1.2m 4W 5100-ku4 1.2m 4 Watts $3,348
1.8m 4W 5100-ku4 1.8m 4 Watts $3,998

Above figures exclude insurance, freight, duty and tax as applicable.

Access Service

All data rates below are expressed in kilobits per second, and are the maximum data rates provided on a best-effort basis for the chosen service plan. Downlink refers to the download speed, or forward link (in satellite jargon). Uplink refers to the upload speed from your terminal to the satellite, or return link. The geographical location relative to the satellite footprint, plus the antenna size and power determine the uplink data rate.

Pricing subject to change due to service upgrades and market fluctuations.

512 512 $485
1024 256 $571
1024 512 $686
2048 512 $927

Satellite VPN

V-ONE's application layer SSL VPN security products are the most secure, cost effective and easiest to manage network solutions for the wireless, remote and satellite markets. These patented standards-based products work on all leading operating systems, boost satellite network speeds by 500% to 1500% over products using IP Security (IPSec) and enable secure remote access to an organization's VPN.

Competitor solutions often use the IPSec lower layer VPN approach. They say that such lower layer approaches will work but that your connection will function at near dialup speeds. This is not entirely accurate. First, dial-up speed is not defined. Dial-up speed could be anywhere between 9600 bps and 56 kbps. Second, IP Security (IPSec), which encrypts the TCP headers as well as the data, cannot be accelerated and therefore results in poor throughput over any satellite link. This also causes the VPN software and your application software to time-out.

V-ONE solves this problem while remaining compatible with SkyX® performance enhancement by offering a VPN solution that packages data and sensitive addressing information into encrypted payloads, and then transports this protected information to the VPN server using normal TCP packets.

Testing by V-ONE demonstrated that data transfers secured using SmartGate® receive virtually the same level of performance as unsecured data. On a 1 Mbps satellite link, using V-ONE technology throughput rates for file transfers were 950 Kbps, nearly 10 times faster than IPSec encrypted transfers or transfers not using SkyX® enhancement. Because V-ONE SmartSatTM traffic is treated like regular TCP/IP, it benefits from the TCP/IP acceleration provided--without the need for you to have a hardware-based VPN accelerator.

V-ONE products have been deployed by U.S. government agencies charged with homeland security, including the FBI, NSA, and Departments of Defense, Justice and the Treasury. The Company's clients also include Fortune 500 and smaller companies in healthcare, banking & finance, transportation and high-tech. All rely upon V-ONE's 10-year proven track record for providing secure global VPN information sharing over the Internet, intranets, extranets and privately leased lines.

“Our users have taken to the V-ONE solution quite easily. It is almost nothing to get it installed and up and running. The whole VPN over satellite network performance problem simply went away.” - Pete Monfiletto, Chief Technical Architect, Tom Brown, Inc. Read the Satellite VPN Case Study.
