What is it all about?

Companies can post Business Process, or Information Technology, Outsourcing (BPO or ITO) related Requests for Information (RFIs) or Requests for Proposals (RFPs) without being a subscriber to the list. Companies that provide business process or IT outsourcing solutions subscribe to the list and respond directly to companies. Alternatively, Remote Work Central can be the primary contractor for the posting company and forward appropriate responses until a subcontractor is chosen.

Where did the idea for this list come from?

Commerce Business Daily solicitation usenet group. Remote Work Central, the sponsor of Outsource-it!, realized that there was no freely available place to post projects for other companies to bid on. At that time, there were various consultant newsgroups and websites geared toward individual consultants and small teams. Outsource-it! is geared toward outsourcing projects and functions to companies, regardless of size.

Subscribers to the list include companies that provide outsourcing services in the U.S.A. and Canada as well as offshore. If you represent such a company, you will want to subscribe to receive information on functions and projects that Remote Work Central and other companies seek to outsource.
